NYC Weather: Strong 58-MPH Winds, 1-Inch Hail Could Hit City
Scattered and isolated severe thunderstorms are predicted in New York City as forecasters declared a hazardous weather outlook.

NEW YORK CITY — A one-two punch of strong wind gusts and pummeling hail threatens to hit New York City right before the weekend, forecasters warn.
Scattered severe thunderstorms are expected to descend on the city Friday, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a hazardous weather outlook.
Damaging wind gusts more than 58 mph are the primary hazard, according to a National Weather Service briefing. Large, 1-inch hail could also fall, along with heavy rain, the briefing states.
