NYC Weather: Dreary Outlook Has Rain Through Week

NEW YORK – Enjoy a sunny Saturday this weekend because rain coming on Sunday is barely going to stop until Thursday.

The dreary forecast has thunderstorms and showers predicted every day, the latest miserable outlook in a spring that's been a washout in New York City. Nearly five inches of rain have fallen in the past 30 days, according to the National Weather Service.

The latest soaking weather is being blamed on "a cold front which will approach on Sunday, likely stall near the Tri-State area on Monday, and could remain nearby through the middle of the week with an unsettled weather pattern," the NWS said.

Saturday, however, will be beautiful with sunshine and 80 degree temperatures.
