NYC Weather Forecast: Flash Flood Watch Issued Ahead Of Storms
Heavy rain could cause flooding starting early Friday morning.

NEW YORK, NY — Thunderstorms expected to slam New York City overnight could cause flash flooding, the National Weather Service warned. The five boroughs will be under a flash flood watch from 2 a.m. Friday through Friday afternoon.
The storm is expected to roll in early Friday morning and drop up to three quarters of an inch of rain throughout the day.
The heavy rain could cause "urban and poor drainage flooding" and hit morning commuters with "torrential downpours," the weather service says.
