NYC Weather Forecast: Fog And Heavy Rain Before Snow Returns
Forecasters say the weekend will start with fog and heavy rain in NYC before giving way to snow next week.

NEW YORK, NY — Fog and heavy rain is expected in New York City to start off the holiday weekend on Friday, along with warmer temperatures that will likely melt lots of snow, forecasters predict.
The National Weather Service said it expects heavy rain and lots of fog to descend on NYC starting Friday morning, when the high will be near 60 degrees.
Forecasters caution that the fog could be particularly dense during Friday morning's commute.

"Areas of fog with a visibility of mostly one half to one mile will continue across the entire tri state area this morning," the National Weather Service said. "There will however be some areas where visibility will be reduced to a quarter mile or less by the fog."
Meteorologists have also issued a flash flood watch thanks to the rain and warmer temperatures.
