NYC Weather Forecast: Harvey Remnants Will Bring Rain Over Labor Day Weekend
Here's a look at the Labor Day weekend weather forecast in the city.

NEW YORK, NY — New York City will feel the effects of Hurricane Harvey over the Labor Day weekend, when the storm's remnants bring showers and possible thunderstorms to the area.
Harvey is still a Tropical Depression as it rolls through the Southeast. On Thursday night, it dumped rain over Nashville and the Middle Tennessee-area while continuing on its Northeasterly track.
It's unclear exactly how strong the storm will be by the time it reaches the tri-state area, but forecasters are planning for a cool and rainy weekend.

"A frontal system approaches from the west on Saturday with increasing clouds through the day," the National Weather Service wrote. "Any rain should hold off until late in the afternoon and become more widespread Saturday night into Sunday morning. A rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out as well. The rain begins to taper off Sunday afternoon."
The rain will begin Saturday night and into Sunday morning, tapering off after noon or so, according to the weather service.

In the lead up to the precipitation, temperatures will be unseasonably cool. New Yorkers woke up to temperatures in the 50s on Friday morning, and the high is expected to just barely top 70. Saturday's temperatures will be in that range as well.
By Labor Day, the skies should be clearer and back to their sunny selves. Forecasters are calling for a sunny day with a high of 80 on Monday.
