NYC Weather Forecast: Snow To Hit NYC Amid 'Arctic' Chill
At least 2 inches are expected to fall starting late Wednesday night.
NEW YORK, NY — The New York City area will remain dangerously cold this week as at least two inches of snow come down Wednesday and Thursday, according to the latest National Weather Service forecast.
With high temperatures in the mid-to-high 20s and continuing breezes, wind chills will make the city feel as cold as zero degrees on Tuesday.

"Wind chills near zero to a few degrees below zero continue this morning as an Arctic air mass persists across the area," the weather service said in a statement Tuesday.
Snow will start falling Wednesday night and continue all day Thursday as a low-pressure system passes east of the New York City area, the weather service said.

The city will most likely see two to four inches of flakes, with a slight chance that at least six inches will hit the ground.
The snow will bring slightly warmer temperatures, but the high will drop to 14 Friday and 12 Saturday, with lows in the single digits and "blustery" winds making it feel even colder.

Clear, with a low around 15. West wind 6 to 13 mph.
Wednesday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 30. Wind chill values between 5 and 15. West wind around 6 mph becoming south in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night
Snow likely, mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. Light and variable wind becoming north 8 to 13 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Thursday
Snow likely. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 25. Blustery, with a northwest wind 16 to 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

A 30 percent chance of snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 9. Blustery.
Friday
Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 14. Blustery.
