NYC Weather: 'Hazardous' Rain, Wind, Floods Blowing Into City

NEW YORK CITY — Wet, windy and wild.

Those words sum up New York City's forecast for Thursday into Friday.

The city will be under a hazardous weather outlook as well as a coastal flood advisory until Friday at 2 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

"Strong gusty winds and a period of moderate to heavy rain is likely
tonight into early Friday morning," the outlook states.

Showers are likely during the day Thursday until the evening, when the chance of rain rises to 100 percent, according to the National Weather Service's forecast.

A thunderstorm could blow through, along with wind gusts up to 40 mph and nearly an inch of rain, the forecast states.

The chance of a thunderstorm will remain Friday, which is expected to be breezy and balmy, with a high of 63 degrees, according to the forecast.
