NYC Weather: Inch Of Rain To Soak City's Weekend
Sunday's wet weather will spoil a sunny start to the weekend, forecasters say.

NEW YORK — Don't bet on an outdoor brunch — all-day showers will spoil a sunny fall weekend in New York City on Sunday, forecasters say.
More than an inch of rain is expected to drench Central Park from that morning into the evening as the temperature hits a high near 65 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Wind gusts as strong as 25 MPH will make the day breezy as well as wet, the forecast shows.
"While the daylight hours on Saturday will remain dry, rain will overspread the area from west to east Saturday night, continuing through the day on Sunday," the weather service says.

The soak will follow the roughly half-inch of rain that hit Central Park on Tuesday. But no drops are expected to fall Friday or Saturday as the weekend gets off to a pleasant start, according to the forecast.
New Yorkers can bask in sunshine, light winds and temperatures in the low to mid-60s Friday and Saturday, the weather service says.
