NYC Weather: Inch Of Snow Possible With Rain Set To Hit City
Light snow will give way to rain on Thursday, forecasters say.

NEW YORK — Get ready for a slushy day. Up to an inch of snow could hit New York City on Thursday morning before rain takes over later in the day, the National Weather Service says.
The best chance of snow will come from 9 to 11 a.m., the forecast shows. Accumulation around the tri-state area could range from "a dusting" to an inch, with more possible in some places, the weather service says. Half an inch is expected to hit Central Park.
The snow will give over to showers by the afternoon, with close to a quarter-inch of rain expected to fall by early Friday morning, according to the forecast.

The weather service warns of "hazardous" travel conditions, and the city's Office of Emergency Management has issued a travel advisory for Thursday.
"We are expecting a wintry mix that can cause slippery conditions during Thursday’s morning and evening commutes, and we advise you to take caution and allow for extra travel time," Emergency Management Commissioner Joseph Esposito said in a statement.
