NYC Weather: Rain And Storms Could Soak The City Wednesday

NEW YORK — Grab those umbrellas, because forecasters are predicting a wet and stormy Wednesday.

There's a 50-50 chance of rain in New York City Wednesday with thunderstorms possible after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will range from a high near 77 during the day to a low of 67 Wednesday night.

As Tropical Storm Erin travels north over the Atlantic Ocean this week, it could bring strong rip currents and minor flooding in coastal areas, according to an AccuWeather report.

The tropical storm won't directly affect New York, forecasters say, but it may increase the potential for heavy rain.
