NYC Weather: Thunderstorms Will Clear For Breezy, Then Sunny Weekend

NEW YORK CITY — End-of-week thunderstorms could darken New York City's skies before giving way to a breezy and ultimately sunny weekend, forecasters said.

The city faces a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday, according to the National Weather Service's forecast.

The wet weather is most likely before 2 p.m., but breezy conditions — including wind gusts up to 31 mph — will condition into Saturday.

"Breezy, with a west wind around 24 mph," Saturday's forecast states.

The mostly cloudy conditions Saturday will clear up by Sunday, which is expected to be mostly sunny with a high of 65 degrees, the forecast states.
