Bomb Scare Forces Evacuation Of Middle School In Brooklyn

A Brooklyn school was forced to evacuate after a bomb threat was phoned in from across the country, police said.

Administrators at I.S. 49, also known as the William Gaynor Intermediate School, on Graham Ave. near Maujer St., in East Williamsburg, evacuated the building Tuesday morning following a reported threat, according to officials.

The threat was initially reported to New York State Police, who then alerted the NYPD.

Woman Arrested After Abandoning Baby At Penn Station

A woman has been arrested after she allegedly abandoned her newborn daughter near a subway platform in Penn Station on Monday.

A 30-year-old woman was taken into custody by police in Queens. She faces multiple charges in connection with the incident.

Window Washer Falls To His Death At NYC University

A window washer died after he fell to his death working at a university campus in Washington Heights, police said.

According to the NYPD, the victim fell down to the street when his safety harness snapped on Oct. 19 at West 168th Street and Broadway.

Police Searching for Suspect Who Groped Woman In Central Park

Police are searching for a man accused of groping a woman in Central Park in broad daylight.

The 22-year-old victim told police she was sitting near West Drive and Center Drive in the portion of the park near the entrance at 59th Street and Seventh Avenue when the man approached her.
