NYC Weekend Subway Service Changes for Sept. 17-18

NEW YORK, NY — There aren't a lot of changes, but there are some big changes on the subway lines this weekend. The D and N train especially will be a hassle, with the D train not running between Columbus Circle and Coney Island.

Here are this weekend's major scheduled subway changes. (You can get additional details on the MTA's Weekender website.)

2 train:

• No trains between 96 St and 241 St
• Trains run local in both directions between Times Sq-42 St and 96 St

3 train:

• No trains running

4 train:

• 4 trains replace the 3 between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and New Lots Av

5 train:

• No trains between E 180 St and Dyre Av

A train:

• Trains run via the F in both directions between W 4 St and Jay St-MetroTech
• Inwood-bound trains skip 72, 81, 86, 96, 103, 110 and 116 Sts
• Trains make local stops in both directions at 23 St and 50 St

C train:

• Trains run via the in both directions between W 4 St and Jay St-MetroTech
• 168 St-bound trains skip 72, 81, 86, 96, 103, 110 and 116 Sts

E train:

• Trains run via the F in both directions between W 4 St and 21 St-Queensbridge
• World Trade Center-bound trains run express from 71 Av to 21 St-Queensbridge F Station
• World Trade Center-bound trains skip Briarwood and 75 Av

D train:

• No trains between 59 St-Columbus Circle and Stillwell Av

F train:

• Coney Island-bound platforms at Avenue I, Bay Pkwy, Avenue N, Avenue P, Avenue U and Avenue X are closed for renovation
• Coney Island-bound trains skip Sutphin Blvd, Briarwood and 75 Av

M train:

• Essex St-bound trains skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St; Trains run every 20 minutes

N train:

• Trains run via the D in both directions between 36 St and Stillwell Av

Q train:

• 57 St/7 Av-bound trains run express from Kings Hwy to Prospect Park

R train:

• 36 St-bound shuttle train stops at 53 St and 45 St
• Bay Ridge-bound trains run express from 71 Av to Queens Plaza

J train:

• Manhattan-bound trains skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St
• No trains between Chambers St and Broad St
