NYPD Cop Charged With Threatening Police

The traffic enforcement officer faces a charge of making a terroristic threat.

THE BRONX, NY — An NYPD traffic cop was arrested Tuesday afternoon for threatening her fellow officers, police said. Cynthia Gonzalez, 40, made threats against police in a 911 call just after 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Bronx's 43rd Precinct, the NYPD said.

Gonzalez was charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony.

The NYPD did not have information about how long Gonzalez has been on the force. It wasn't immediately clear from online court records whether she's been arraigned in court.
