NEW YORK CITY — A person was killed by a subway train Friday morning, causing the L train line to be suspended.

The person was fatally struck by the train near the DeKalb Avenue station around 10:30 a.m, the FDNY said.

What led up to the incident or how the individual ended up on the tracks is not known at this time.

According to the MTA, there is no L train service between Broadway Junction and Lorimer Street.

For travel between Broadway Junction and Lorimer Street, the MTA advises taking a B60 bus or to take the J or M train.
