Person Struck By Train In Brooklyn, R Trains Rerouted: MTA
Southbound R trains are running on the Q line from Canal St to DeKalb Av as a result of the hit, MTA officials said.

NEW YORK CITY — A person was hit by a southbound R train in downtown Brooklyn late Thursday morning, MTA officials said.
The collision at the Jay St-MetroTech subway station was reported about 11:13 a.m. via the NYCTSubway X account.
Emergency teams are currently responding to the situation, MTA officials said.

Southbound R trains are running on the Q line from Canal St to DeKalb Av. Straphangers are encouraged to take a northbound train for service to/from bypassed stations.
The person struck by the train was accidentally pushed off of the platform by another straphanger, according to NYPD radio transmissions provided by Citizen.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, although their condition was not immediately made clear.
