NEW YORK CITY-- The 105th Veterans Day Parade marched up 5th avenue with floats, marching bands and service members commemorating the holiday. The grand marshal of the parade this year was Dakota Meyer, a United States Marine who served in Afghanistan and awarded the Medal of Honor.

More than 20,000 people were expected to participate in the parade with nearly three hundred vehicle units making their way up 5th avenue. The parade stretched for a mile long, starting on 25th Street and coming to close at 45th Street.

Mayor Eric Adams also walked in the parade in addition to the many veterans in attendance.
