NEW YORK CITY — Fashion's biggest night out at the Metropolitan Museum of Art unveiled the Costume Institute's new exhibit, "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”

There was no shortage of floral gowns to represent this year's gala theme of "The Garden of Time," inspired by J.G. Ballard’s 1962 short story of the same name. Celebrities walked the green carpet in their garden inspired couture.

The night's most represented designers include Maison Margiela, Loewe, Thom Browne and Balmain. The designers created their own interpretations of the gala's theme from the literal of including flowers on dresses to recreating the abstract sands of time. Stand outs from the night include Kim Kardashian in a tightly corseted dress by Margiela and Zendaya rocking two show-stopping looks.
