Police Look To ID Woman’s Remains Found Off NYC Highway: See Photos

NEW YORK CITY — Police are asking the public for help in identifying the remains of a woman found decomposing on the side of a New York City highway.

The NYPD on Wednesday released photos of a tattoo of a rose and two pieces of jewelry that were found on the woman on Aug. 6.

The remains were discovered by a Department of Transportation worker off the Jackie Robinson Parkway, near Exit 1 in Brooklyn, Patch previously reported.

The woman is described as possibly Black or Hispanic, approximately 20–30 years of age, approximately 4 feet and 5 inches to 5 feet and 2 inches, police said.

The victim had dark brown curly hair with bleached ends and a rose tattoo located on her upper left buttocks.

It's not known at this time how the woman died, police said.
