NEW YORK CITY — When it came to its flagship store in the heart of SoHo, Noel Mack, Chief Brand Officer for Gymshark, said the team wanted the store to be "unmistakably" New York and "quintessential" of the brand — and they've done that and more as it open its doors to the public this weekend.

Greeting visitors when they walk into 11 Bond Street is Lady Liberty herself, fittingly holding a dumbbell above her head. Gymshark continues the New York City theme throughout its sales space, spanning two out of the four floors of the building.

The "Bodega" on the first floor holds all of Gymshark's exclusive products. The concept of the bodega is to ensure that products with exclusive graphics are readily available. There is also a "laundromat" on top as a way to pay homage to New York.

Sam Kane, Head of Communications for the brand, said that the timing of the opening of the store feels right.

After successful pop-up lift events in the city last September, Mack and founder Ben Francis realized the need for Gymshark to have a permanent location here.

"They had that kind of moment, and we're like we need to be here permanently. Not just so the community can hang out with us, but so we could be with his community," Kane said.

On the second floor, customers will find more women's and men's apparel tailored for certain workouts. In one corner there is a conditioning section — for those who are into running, there are also clothing on display tailored to wear during heavy weight lifting workouts so you can show off your gains, Gymshark said.

One section of the second floor includes a Batman-style closet meant to be a bespoke space for men, where the brand's Onyx collection can be found — items in the collection are of higher quality and enhance the physique.

Other highlights include the popular lifting and power apparel collection, as well as a dedicated fitting room equipped with four different types of lighting, so customers can get the best pictures of their new fits.

The third and fourth floor act as flex spaces for the store. The third floor will be a dedicated space for the community, panel talks, athlete meet-and-greets, live podcasts and Q&A sessions.

The fourth floor features a rooftop terrace — The only publicly open terrace in SoHo, according to Mack.

"We can do events up here, and we're going to do workout classes up here when the weather gets nicer, all the doors open up," he said.

Both Mack and Kane raved about the location of the new store.

"This is becoming one of the coolest parts of the city right now, lifting and resistance training is becoming more popular by the day," Mack said.

Mack also mentioned a conversation with Francis he had 10 years ago when they were in New York together.

"We're talking about, 'wouldn't it be cool to have an office here?,'" he said. So now to have this beautiful space in SoHo — this is incredible, we made this happen."

The SoHo location is now open Monday–Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
