NEW YORK CITY — Police are searching for a suspect who alleged shot and injured a 13-year-old boy in Queens on Thursday.

The incident happened near 411 Beach 54 Street around 4:25 p.m., police said.

The suspect is accused of firing a firearm, striking the boy in the hand, police said. The 13-year-old was taken to Cohen Children's Medical Center in stable condition.

The unidentified man fled on foot after the incident. Police released surveillance images of the suspect on Friday.

The man was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts and black sneakers.
