Bronx Police-Involved Shooting: Man Shot Dead By Cop, NYPD Says
This is the third police-involved shooting in New York City this week and the second in The Bronx.

BRONX, NEW YORK — A cop shot a man dead in The Bronx Thursday afternoon in this week's third police-involved shooting, according to the NYPD.
The shooting occurred during an attempted arrest on East 211 Street and Bainbridge Avenue in Norwood about 3 p.m., said police.
When a man tried to drive away with a cop clinging to his car, the cop pulled out his gun and fired a shot, police said.

The man he hit was rushed to an area hospital and later pronounced dead, said police.
Another man was taken into custody, according to police.

The shooting comes one day after two police-involved shootings in Brooklyn and The Bronx left one man dead and another hospitalized.
Police warned New Yorkers to stay away from The Bronx corner as they investigated the scene.
