Q Train Service Changes Begin This Weekend In Brooklyn And Manhattan

The service changes are for track replacement along the subway line, officials said.

NEW YORK CITY — Q train service at some stations between Manhattan and Brooklyn will be suspended beginning this weekend, the MTA said.

Starting Friday night, Q trains will run not run between Prospect Park and the 34th Street-Herald Square station. Service is expected to resume 5 a.m. Monday.

The service change will run for every weekend until Feb. 3.

During the work week, Q trains will not run between the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station and the 34th Street-Herald Square station from 11:45 p.m. until 5 a.m.

The overnight service changes for weekdays will last until Jan. 31, the MTA said.

For overnight service between Manhattan and Brooklyn, riders are advised to take the N or D train.

The MTA said they will be offering free shuttle bus service between Prospect Park and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center.
