Queens H Mart Food Hall Opens This Week

Korean corn dogs, street food, bubble tea and more — here's what to expect from vendors in the Asian grocery's Long Island City outpost.

QUEENS, NY — A tasty new addition is coming to an H Mart in Queens: a food hall.

A grand opening for the food hall next to the Asian grocer's Long Island City outpost will be Friday, the company announced.

Customers at the 11 a.m. opening will get a chance to chow down on five fast-casual options, according to a release.

And guests will receive a 30 percent discount for all menu items at the food hall, if they dine during the May 10 to June 6 opening period.

"Our food halls are iconic staples of H Mart stores, and our Long Island City location wouldn't feel complete without one," said Briian Kwon, president of H Mart, in a statement.

"The addition of another food hall will further enhance the experience."

H Mart opened its 48th Street location near Northern Boulevard in late 2022 — a location that's arguably closest to Sunnyside, although H Mart representatives have referred to the locale at Long Island City.

The chain now has dozens of U.S. locations, but actually began in Woodside as a humble Korean grocery store.

Visitors to the new food hall can expect to see the following dining options, as described in an H Mart release:

  • KimGaNae: Offering traditional Korean street food, featuring savory kimbap and spicy noodle
  • Oh K-Dog: Indulge in delicious Korean corn dogs
  • Rice Boy: Customize your own cup bap meal with a variety of flavorful and fresh ingredients
  • Gong Cha: Savor premium tea, bubble tea and coffee made from the freshest milk and highest quality ingredients
  • Café L’ami: A bakery serving a unique selection of cakes, pastries, sandwiches and handcrafted beverages
