SantaCon Is Back: Drunk Santas Will Return To NYC Streets In 2021
Tipsy people in Santa Claus costumes will once again descend on New York City this December after the annual bar crawl was canceled in 2020.

NEW YORK CITY — Tipsy young adults in Santa Claus costumes will return to the streets of New York City next month — SantaCon, the annual holiday boozefest, is back.
NYC SantaCon, an annual bar crawl, is described on its website as a "charitable, non-political, nonsensical Santa Claus convention that happens once a year to spread absurdist joy."
It will take place on Saturday, Dec. 11, beginning at 10 a.m., for the first time in two years: The event was canceled last year to stop the spread of COVID-19.

SantaCon will announce its lineup of "Santa Welcoming Red-Carpet Venues" in the week leading up to the bar crawl.
In a sign of the pandemic era, officials have added a sixth "F of SantaCon" to its list: "Don't F*** with NYC Vax requirements." The full list of "F's of SantaCon" is:

Though SantaCon is infamous for its drunk horror stories, the celebration is actually a charitable event: Tickets cost $13, and officials are currently "talking with several charities and projects" for 2021.
In the past, SantaCon has raised money for organizations like City Harvest, which distributes food to communities throughout the city; and Neighbors Together, which is focused on ending hunger in Ocean Hill, Brownsville and Bedford-Stuyvesant.
