Gotham FC celebrated its championship with a parade and keys to the city Monday in Manhattan.
NEW YORK CITY — National Women's Soccer League champions Gotham FC celebrated their latest title with a ticker tape parade in Lower Manhattan on Monday, the team was also given the keys to the city.

Gotham FC captured its second league championship in three years after defeating the Washington Spirit, 1-0 on Saturday. The winning goal was scored by Rose Lavelle in the 80th minute.
The parade began at Barclay Street and headed up Broadway to Chambers Street, where fans and city officials met the team for the keys to the city ceremony.

Representing New Jersey and New York, Gotham FC is one of 16 clubs in the NWSL. The club won its first NWSL championship in 2023. Two years later, Gotham FC captured the first continental club trophy in North American women’s soccer history by winning the inaugural 2024-25 CONCACAF W Champions Cup, earning qualification for the first editions of the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup and the FIFA Women’s Club World Cup.
