‘Messy' Storm To Bring Flooding, Snow To NYC Commute, Forecasters Say
According to the National Weather Service, the best chance for snow in the New York City will be around 7 a.m.

NEW YORK CITY — While parts of the state could see a few inches of snow fall on Tuesday, New York City is forecast to see flooding and some flying flakes as a coastal storm makes it way through the region Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service, the best chance for snow in the New York City will be around 7 a.m. where residents could see snowflakes in the air, but no real chance of accumulation.
The city is expected to see rain throughout Tuesday, with about an inch and a half of rain forecasted by evening time.

"The storm is expected to bring periods of steady rain during the day Tuesday, with localized flooding possible in poor drainage areas," NYC Emergency management officials wrote in a post on X.
NYCEM is activating the city’s Flash Flood Plan based on the current forecast and will be issuing a weather alert for Tuesday.

Some areas north and west of New York City could see higher snowfall totals than forecasted.
Parts of the Hudson Valley, northern New Jersey and Connecticut are expected to receive several inches before it changes to rain.
The highest snowfall totals are expected in Orange County, with 4 to 7 inches, and Putnam, NY and Western Passaic, NJ with 3 to 5 inches
On Tuesday, temperatures will reach a high of 41. A chance of rain, mixing with snow after 10 p.m. with a low temperature of 33, according to forecasters.
Wednesday should be bright and sunny with a high of 39 degrees.
