Stranger Slashes Man's Face In Rockefeller Center Station: NYPD
The random attack left a 24-year-old man — who was buying a MetroCard — with a severe cut to his face, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A man buying a MetroCard in Rockefeller Center subway station was slashed in the face by a stranger, who remains at-large, police said.
The random attack early Monday left the 24-year-old man with a severe cut to his face, for which he went to Bellevue Hospital, authorities said.
The as-yet-unidentified slasher remained on the loose Tuesday morning as NYPD officials sought the public's help to identify him through surveillance video.

The attack unfolded about 12:20 a.m. on the station's mezzanine level, police said.
As the straphanger bought a MetroCard, the slasher walked up from behind and slashed the right side of his face with what police described as a "cutting instrument."

The attacker then ran off, police said.
