Man Exposed Himself, Robbed Woman In NYC Building, Police Say

NEW YORK CITY — Police have arrested a 25-year-old man who followed a woman into a Midtown apartment and robbed her before he performed a "lewd act" in front of her this past weekend.

Brandon Simosa, who is homeless, has been charged with third-degree sexually motivated burglary, third-degree sexually motivated robbery, fourth degree grand larceny, among other crimes for the Nov. 17 incident, police announced Wednesday.

The incident happened inside a building in the vicinity of West 44 Street and 9 Avenue, Patch previously reported.

After the woman refused to give him money, Simosa took her purse, cellphone and bank cards, police said.

Before he fled the scene, Simosa exposed himself in front of the victim, police said.

The victim was not injured as a result of this incident.

Attorney information for Simosa was not readily available as of Wednesday afternoon.
