Suspect Sought For Shooting Teen Outside NYC School

NEW YORK CITY — Police are searching for an unidentified man who shot a 17-year-old boy outside a Brooklyn school on Thursday.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect on Friday. He is seen wearing a black North Face coat, a multicolored hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and brown boots.

The incident happened near Dr. Susan S. McKinney Secondary School on Park Avenue near North Oxford Street around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, police said.

The student was shot in the stomach and was transported to New York Presbyterian-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made and an investigation remains ongoing.

The incident happened on the first day city students returned to classes after the holiday break.
