Teen Arrested For Slashing Woman In NYC Subway: NYPD
The suspect is being held in jail without bail.
NEW YORK CITY — A teenager has been arrested and is accused of stabbing a 29-year-old woman inside a Manhattan subway train last week, police said.
Brandon Balfour, 18, is accused of attacking the woman on a northbound No. 3 train on Aug. 6 around 11 p.m. at the Wall Street subway station.
He has been charged with attempted murder, robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of stolen property, police said.

Balfour tried to take the victim's bag before slashing her on the arm and back. The 18-year-old took the woman's cellphone before fleeing the scene.
The 29-year-old woman was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue for treatment.

The suspect pleaded not guilty to all charges on Sunday and is being held without bail.
