Teen Charged In Shooting Death Of 17-Year-Old Girl: NYPD
Deaza Barkley, 17, of Brooklyn, was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to her head, police said.
NEW YORK CITY — A teenager has been charged in the shooting death of a 17-year-old girl in Queens over the weekend, police announced.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with manslaughter, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. He has not been identified due to being a minor.
On Saturday, police responded to 87-25 Clover Place around 5:15 p.m. where they found Deaza Barkley, 17, unresponsive with a gunshot wound to her head, police said.

She was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
