Thank You, NYC Patch Readers, For Helping Us Grow
New York City Patch has grown a lot in two years — and it's all thanks to you. Check out our latest readership numbers.

NEW YORK, NY – There's barely a more crowded media market place than NYC, yet still there's a need for dedicated local news coverage. New York City Patch strives to provide information not just to the city as a whole, but to its neighborhoods. We aim to be a source of community news in Washington Heights and Harlem, Sunset Park and Forest Hills. In short, we want to find the news that matters to local people.
On June 20, 2016, the NYC Patch published its first article – a guide to the city's public swimming pools. Since then, we've grown a lot – and it's all because of you. We want to send a sincere thank you to all our readers.
NYC Patch is joined by 35 neighborhood Patches in covering local news. In August alone, more than 373,000 people read the site. That's nearly 130,000 more readers than in August 2017, according to figures compiled and verified through Google Analytics.

But we're always looking to grow more. Got a news tip? I'm Noah Manskar, your local editor. I've lived for three years in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, home of the city's best bagels and its most underrated park. My coverage focuses on issues affecting all New Yorkers, from Mayor Bill de Blasio's administration to the subway system's perennial breakdowns. Send your tips, ideas and questions my way at noah.manskar@patch.com.
I also want to remind our readers that you can post on Patch. It's easy to sign up for a free user profile and post articles, events, jobs, and announcements. And the "rules of Patch" are easy to follow: "no abusive content, no commercial spam, keep it local, and be awesome."
