Only These 2 States Are More Fun Than NY, Report Says
WalletHub ranked New York the third-most fun state in America. But here's where you can find an even better time.

NEW YORK — The rats and garbage must cancel out Broadway and the Empire State Building. A new ranking of America's "most fun" states says two places offer visitors a better time than New York.
The personal finance website WalletHub ranked the 50 U.S. states on 26 metrics of "of a jolly good time that won’t break the bank." Those include the number of attractions, weather, beach quality and other indicators.
New York was good enough to be named the nation's third-most fun state. The Empire State has the country's largest number of attractions and tied for the most restaurants, movie theaters, performing-arts theaters, marinas and fitness centers per capita, accoring to the report released Monday.

But California and Florida were deemed more fun than New York, grabbing the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively. The states were ranked at or near the top of several of the same categories as New York, the report shows.
The Empire State's high costs may have kept it from the top spot. It has the highest average beer and wine price and the second highest movie costs in the nation, WalletHub says.
