NEW YORK CITY — New Yorkers looking to buy a home in the city should in a look in one borough in particular, according to a new list from StreetEasy.
Brooklyn had six neighborhoods on the top 10 list of locations for buyers.
Boerum Hill topped the list and had a 26 percent decrease in year-over-year asking prices and a 75 percent increase in inventory during January and February 2025, according to StreetEasy.

The neighborhood’s inventory only saw an increase of 77 units. The median asking price for a listing is $1.9 million.
Long Island City, in Queens, and Brooklyn Heights came in second and third place, respectively. Both neighborhoods have seen reductions in year-over-year asking prices.

In LIC, the median asking price for a listing is $985,000.
Brooklyn Heights' median asking price dropped 23 percent compared to last year but saw its iventory increase by 117.
