NEW YORK CITY — The top baby names in New York City have changed for the first time in nearly a decade, according to a list released by the New York City Health Department on Monday.

With 2026 approaching, the health department released the top baby names of 2024. Liam and Emma, which had topped the list since 2016 and 2017 were dethroned by Noah and Mia.

Families in New York City chose the name Noah 722 times and Mia 422 times, according to the health department.
