NEW YORK CITY — New Yorkers submitted over 753,000 noise complaints last year, but one community district proved to be the loudest, according to 311 data.
In total, 753,222 noise complaints were submitted in 2024.
Almost 10 percent of complaints last year came from residents of Bronx Community District 12.

The district, which includes areas of Williamsbridge, Woodlawn, Eastchester and Baychester had 73,014 complaints in total. Over 69,700 complaints were over residential noise.
The second-worst on the list was Manhattan Community District 12, which covers Inwood and Washington Heights.

The community district had 31,982 complaints last year, according to 311 data.
The third on the list was Manhattan Community District 7 which covers the Upper West Side and the Manhattan Valley.
Last year, they had 26,369 noise complaints.
The rest of the top five saw Manhattan District 10 (Central Harlem) and Brooklyn District 1 (Greenpoint and Williamsburg) make the list.
Manhattan District 10 had 24, 059 complaints and Brooklyn District 1 had 21,365 complaints, respectively.
Here are the top 10 loudest NYC neighborhoods in 2024:
1. Bronx District 12 (Edenwal, Wakefield, Williamsbridge, Woodlawn, Fish Bay, Eastchester, Olinville and Baychester) - 73,014 complaints
2. Manhattan District 12 (Inwood and Washington Heights) - 31,982 complaints
3. Manhattan District 7 (Lincoln Square, Manhattan Valley and Upper West Side) - 26,369 complaints
4. Manhattan District 10 (Central Harlem) - 24,059 complaints
5. Brooklyn District 1 (Greenpoint and Williamsburg, Flushing Avenue both north side and south side) - 21,365 complaints
6. Bronx District 4 (Concourse, Concourse Village, Highbridge and Mount Eden) - 19,944 complaints
7. Manhattan District 3 (Chinatown, East Village, Lower East Side, Tompkins Square and Two Bridges) - 19,588 complaints
8. Bronx District 7 (Bedford Park, Fordham, Jerome Park, Kingsbridge Heights, Norwood and University Heights) -18,550 complaints
9. Brooklyn District 4 (Bushwick) - 17,855 complaints
10. Queens District 10 (Howard Beach, Ozone Park, Richmond Hill and South Ozone Park) - 17,145 complaints
