NEW YORK, NY — Emma's taken the crown from Olivia as New York City's most popular name for girls. For boys, Liam remains king for the third year.
You're much less likely to meet a girl called Artemis, Tzippy or Reizy or, for boys, Azriel, Zeus or Thaddeus. They're the names least commonly handed out during 2017, the most recent year that the city's Department of Health has records.
During that year, there were 117,013 babies born in the city.
