These NYC Coffee Shops Are Raising Money For The ACLU This Weekend
Want to support the ACLU and get your coffee fix? Buy from these NYC coffee shops this weekend.

NEW YORK, NY — If you're looking to support the ACLU and get your caffeine fix, here's where you should buy your coffee this weekend.
Dozens of coffee shops throughout New York City are joining a nationwide fundraiser organized by the coffee blog Sprudge. Most participating java joints are donating 5% of either drip coffee purchases or all purchases from Friday to Saturday, although some shops have crafted their own donation formulas. Most shops say that in addition to donating a portion of their proceeds from the weekend, they'll also have donation jars out so customers can give directly to the ACLU. Sprudge has also promised to match the first $500 raised by each company this weekend. The blog says that 278 different companies and 530 individual cafes across the country are taking part this weekend.
