Thieves Grab Over $2M Worth Of Jewelry In Bronx Heist, Police Say

Four suspects entered, smashed jewelry displays and stole the merchandise in under 30 seconds, video of the robbery shows.

BRONX, NY — Four men smashed display cases and stole about $2.15 million worth of high-end jewelry from a Bronx jewelry store Friday afternoon, according to the New York Police Department.

The robbery occurred just after 2:30 p.m. at Rocco's Jewelry on Webster Avenue in Fordham, according to police.

One man, wearing a black cap, black glasses and a white shirt, approached the front door and was buzzed in by an employee. The man then held the door open for the other three men, who quickly entered the store, smashed several jewelry displays and put the merchandise in a sack before leaving, according to police. The other three men were wearing dark clothes, dark masks and gloves.

Video of the incident obtained by Patch shows the robbery took under 30 seconds. No injuries were reported, police said.

All four men were described as having a dark complexion, according to police.
