NEW YORK CITY— When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Sharene Roig has proven herself to be an untiring, devoted and knowledgeable advocate of (education about) Domestic Violence towards women and young adults. She has devoted to sponsoring seasonal groups of women and teenage girls and young female adults. She is one of the most present, intuitive and compassionate women I have come to know.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the local hero?

Sharene is welcoming to any woman who is currently in a Domestic Violence situation. Sharene embraces and offers to any woman who has been in or is currently seeking need of education, moral support, compassion, empathy and resources to break the cycle of violence towards Intimate Partners and Women.
