Vicious FiDi Stabbing Leaves One Teen Dead, Another Wounded: Police
Three suspects reportedly approached two teens and asked them if they spoke English. They attacked when the victims said they didn't.

NEW YORK CITY – A 17-year-old teenage boy, Yeremi Colino, was killed after he was stabbed in the chest outside 17 John Street on Thursday night, authorities confirmed.
Police responded to a 911 call regarding an assault just off Broadway in the Financial District at about 7:40 p.m. Upon arrival, cops found Colino with a stab wound to the chest and an 18-year-old man with a stab wound to his left arm.
Emergency responders transported both victims to Bellevue Hospital, where Colino succumbed to his injuries, officials said. As of Friday morning, the 18-year-old man is in stable condition.

An address police provided for Colino corresponds to the Roosevelt Hotel, a city-run migrant shelter.
Police are seeking three suspects in connection with the incident, but no information about these suspects is currently available, a spokesperson told Patch.

According to the New York Post, Colino and the other victim were outside 17 John Street when they were approached by three male suspects who asked them if they could speak English. When the victims said they could not, the suspects attacked.
The incident is not currently being investigated as a hate crime, officials confirmed, but cautioned that that could change as the investigation – which is ongoing – unfolds. No arrests had been made as of Friday morning.
Witnesses told the Post that the incident, which reportedly occurred outside of a popular ramen restaurant, was "straight out of a horror movie."
"I’ve never seen so much blood in my life," the witness said.
