NEW YORK, NY — Shopping, family gatherings and holiday parties can make the Christmas season busy enough, so who could blame you for wanting to eat out on Christmas Day? Finding a good spot for dinner on a major holiday can be tough, but New York City's thriving food scene offers plenty of options.
If you're trying to get out of making Christmas dinner, here's a list of restaurants around the city open on Christmas Day to get your mouth watering. Whether you're looking for a fancy prix fixe menu or something down to earth, there's a meal out there for you.

Tavern on the Green
Central Park West and West 66th Street
Executive Chef Bill Peet will serve a four-course Christmas feast at this famed Central Park restaurant. The meal goes for $125 for adults and $65 for kids 12 and younger.
La Mangeoire
1008 Second Ave.
The classic French bistro will offer a $75-per-person prix fixe Christmas menu starring your choice of wild bass, venison, veal chop or chicken.
Renaissance Harlem
2245 Seventh Ave.
This recently opened Harlem eatery, run by executive chefs Cisse Elhadji and Cheikh Ali, will have its own Christmas prix fixe menu. Renaissance Harlem's cuisine aims to "capture the combination of cultures and foods found in Harlem," according to its website.

Mile End
97A Hoyt St.
This deli with roots in Toronto serves a "traditional Jewish Christmas" feast of Chinese food every Christmas Day.
Reynard
80 Wythe Ave.
The restaurant at Williamsburg's luxurious Wythe Hotel is bringing back its four-course Christmas prix fixe meal for $105 per person.
Tikka Indian Grill
185 Grand St.
This Williamsburg restaurant will have a special Christmas platter of traditional Indian dishes, according to Time Out New York. Tikka also has locations in Kew Gardens and Astoria.
QUEENS
Flo Lounge Restaurant
37-20 30th Ave.
This Asian-influenced eatery will be open all of Christmas Day, with brunch service from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and dinner until 1 a.m. The usual $4.95 sangria and mimosa specials will be in effect, too.
Gyu-Kaku
40-52 Main St., Second Floor
This Japanese barbecue spot in the heart of Flushing will be serving up its signature shared plates on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Marbella Restaurant
220-33 Northern Blvd.
The Bayside restaurant will serve its usual dinner menu bringing the flavors of Spain to Queens starting at 1 p.m. Christmas Day.
