Woman Found Dead Inside Car At JFK Airport Parking Lot

NEW YORK CITY — An elderly woman was found dead inside a car in a long-term parking lot at John F. Kennedy Airport on Thursday, police said.

Port Authority police officers found an 83-year-old woman inside a car in parking lot 9 near Aqueduct Road and Lefferts Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens around 2:10 p.m.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the 83-year-old woman may have been in the car for at least the last two days.

Additional incident details have not been released.

The city's medical examiners will determine the official cause of death.

The woman has not been identified as of Friday afternoon, pending family notification.

An investigation remains ongoing.
