Woman Stabbed Multiple Times Inside Macy’s Herald Square: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — A woman was stabbed multiple times inside Macy's Herald Square on Thursday, police said.
The incident happened in a bathroom inside the store around 3:10 p.m.
A 38-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times in the back and arm. She was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

A 43-year-old woman, identified as Kerri Aheme, of Massachusetts, has since been charged in connection with the stabbing. She faces attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child charges.
The victim was apparently changing her 10-month-old daughter's diaper when the attack occurred, according to reports.

Aherne is expected to be arraigned in court later Friday.
