Woman Struck By Stray Bullet As She Slept Inside NYC Apartment
The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital for treatment, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A woman was struck by a stray bullet while she slept inside her New York City apartment, police said.
The incident happened late Sunday night around 11:40 p.m. inside 1624 Purdy St. in Parkchester, police said.
A 55-year-old woman was sleeping inside the bedroom when the stray shot came through her window and grazed her in the forehead, according to police and a AMNY report.

The woman was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where she was treated and listed in stable condition.
No arrests have been made as of Monday evening.

According to a ABC7 New York report, six individuals may have been taken into custody for questioning.
Police have not officially disclosed any additional information on the suspects.
