Clarkstown police said a man and a woman have been arrested in connection with a burglary at Valley Cottage Elementary School over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Police said a man, 27, and a woman, 21, have been charged in connection with the incident.
School officials said it appears police were alerted to the break in by both a neighbor who saw people inside the building and the silent alarm that was tripped at the school. The break in affected several classrooms and an area where musical instruments are kept.
