2 Stabbed, 1 Suspect Arrested After Manhunt In Suffern: Police

SUFFERN, NY — A weekend stabbing left two victims injured, as police began a manhunt to nab the suspected attacker who knew the victims, according to police.
The Suffern Police Department says that on Friday, around 7 p.m., officers were dispatched after receiving a report about two victims who had been stabbed.
Once on the scene, responding officers administered aid to the victims and started an investigation.

Additional law enforcement resources then arrived from the Ramapo Police Department, the Mahwah Police Department, the Rockland County Intelligence Center, the FBI NY Westchester Safe Streets Task Force, and the Rockland County Sheriff's Office.
Soon after, officers from the Mahwah Police Department, including their K9 unit, along with officers from the Ramapo Police Department, found and detained a suspect.

Police say that the initial investigation indicated that the victims and suspect knew each other, and there was no danger to the public.
Mahwah Police Department's K9 Rino, along with his handler, Officer S. Hayes, conducted a search of the crime scene and found a weapon believed to have been used in the stabbing.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and formal charges will be filed once it is concluded.
