60-Year-Old Man Admits To Sexual Abuse Of 2 Young Girls

SPRING VALLEY, NY — A Rockland County man is facing decades behind bars after pleading guilty to charges related to the sexual abuse of a young girl.
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced on Wednesday that 60-year-old Fresnel Paul, of Spring Valley, pled guilty to first degree course of sexual conduct against a child in Rockland County Court on December 3.
Beginning in 2018, Paul routinely had sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13 in the Village of Spring Valley. He also sexually abused a girl under the age of 11, according to prosecutors.

"The actions of the defendant in this case are sickening," the district attorney said. "There is no sentence that can undo the damage and trauma that was caused to the victim by the defendant. My hope is that the defendant pleading guilty and taking responsibility for his horrific actions, facing a 20-year prison sentence and having to register as a sex offender, brings justice and some closure to the victims."
Paul pleaded guilty immediately prior to the start of pre-trial hearings. The district attorney says that he is facing a 20-year state prison sentence, followed by a five-year period of post-release supervision, and he will be required to register as a sex offender.
