$800, Box of Cigars Stolen in Gas Station Robbery
Man threatened attendant with handgun.
The attendant at a Route 59 gas station in Nanuet was robbed at gunpoint early this morning, according to Clarkstown Police.
Police said that at about 12:35 a.m. they got a call about a robbery at the CITGO gas station at 158 Rt. 59, Nanuet. The attendant told police that a man came into the station and demanded money and showed what appeared to be a silver handgun.
The thief took about $800 cash and a box of Dutch Masters cigars in the robbery.

The suspect was described as approximately 5-foot-9 inches tall, with black hair, wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts with a black bandana partially covering his face. The man was described as either white or Hispanic.
Police ask that anyone with information on this incident contact the Clarkstown Detective Bureau at 845-639-5840.
